13 Aug BACK TO SCHOOL!
As summer break winds down we are in the full swing of getting ramped up for a new school year at the Massie House!
Back to school shopping for new clothes, shoes and school supplies, fresh haircuts, stocking up on lunchbox essentials and reviewing schedules are all underway.
And….. cleaning out backpacks that haven’t been opened since May.
Tell me we aren’t the only ones?????? (One year I found an unopened lunchbox that had festered for 3 months in my middle child’s locker. Ewwwww……..He got new lunchbox that year!)
One tradition I’ve held onto strongly is the obligatory first day of school picture – complete with a sign marking the year and grade for each child. I don’t care if that big yellow school bus is rolling right up to our driveway – there will be a picture!
