07 Jun Modern Farmhouse Porch Decor

Grab a sweet tea and meet me out front sister! On the front porch that is. I have love, love, loved Farmhouse Front Porches for years and styling the front exterior of this adorable porch was so much fun.
I never tire of the timeless combination of white clapboard siding and a black front door. Recently built by Owen Homes in Smithville, MO this home is gorgeous inside and out! The classic palette feels fresh and modern with the addition of black window casings, seeded glass exterior lanterns and cedar columns. I adore that the front porch overlooks the family farm, a pond and the home owners horses!
I’m so happy to share the round up of affordable decor pieces that we included in this porch design!
Layered rugs add dimension and fill up space when you have a large front porch! They’re one of the easiest ways to make an impact on a smaller budget. This 5′ x 7′ neutral outdoor rug from Amazon snuggled just perfectly under this inexpensive coir Buffalo Check Welcome Mat from Hobby Lobby. Coir is a super practical choice for a home that might see muddy farm boots!

We rounded out the gorgeous 6 pane front door with budget friendly Amazon finds! *affiliate links included.
I am swooning over these Olive Buckets filled with 3 gallon sized Endless Summer Hydrangea. The gorgeous pink and blue blooms add the perfect pop of color to welcome summer guests! Beautiful ferns perched upon round teak folding tables from TJ Maxx fill out the space and offer height. Ferns love living under porch alcoves where they have some protection from the summer sun. Layering a fabulous artificial boxwood wreath completes the front door! Especially when paired with my favorite black and white wired ribbon.
If you have clippings left over from pruning your boxwood this season check out this post for a DIY Fresh Boxwood Wreath and Bow Tutorial.

No Farmhouse Front Porch is complete without a classic rocking chair y’all! I love the way acacia wood rockers stand out against white homes. They stand both the stand of time, and hold up well in all weather. Paired with black and white striped pillows, boxwood balls and solar lanterns all that’s missing is the lemonade and chirping cicadas!
Here’s to kicking off summer my loves. Happy Rocking!
